Built on a mission to help people — not just clean their ducts
Founded by Joe & Patrick — Built on a Purpose
Quality Air Services LLC was founded by partners Joe and Patrick with one clear mission: to help people. Not just clean their ducts — but truly help them. We saw too many homeowners and business owners being overcharged, underinformed, and underserved by other companies in the industry. We knew we could do better.
So we set out to build a company that always goes the extra mile. That means being upfront about pricing, educating our customers on what we find and why it matters, and delivering a level of service that bigger competitors simply don't offer. When you call us, you're not a number — you're a neighbor.
Over the past 10+ years, we've built our reputation one job at a time across Rockland County, Westchester, Bergen County, Orange County and New York City. Every technician we send to your home is NADCA certified, fully licensed, and insured — because you deserve nothing less.

Answers to the most searched questions about air duct & dryer vent cleaning
According to NADCA (the National Air Duct Cleaners Association) and the EPA, most homes benefit from professional air duct cleaning every 3 to 5 years. However, you may need more frequent cleaning if you have pets that shed, residents with allergies or asthma, smokers in the household, a recent home renovation, or if you've recently moved into a previously owned home. At Quality Air Services LLC, we always perform a free inspection to give you an honest recommendation — we'll never pressure you into a cleaning you don't need.
Watch for these common warning signs: visible dust or debris blowing from vents when the system turns on; musty, stale, or moldy odors whenever your HVAC runs; increased allergy or asthma symptoms indoors; dust settling on furniture much faster than usual; unexplained spikes in your energy bill; or if someone in the home is experiencing frequent headaches, nasal congestion, or eye irritation. If you're noticing any of these, it's worth calling us for a free inspection.
Yes — especially for households with allergy or asthma sufferers. Your air ducts are a favorite hiding place for dust, pollen, pet dander, mold spores, and other airborne contaminants. Every time your HVAC system runs, these pollutants get circulated throughout your home. According to NADCA, removing these contaminants through professional cleaning is the most effective way to eliminate indoor air duct pollutants. A clean system also runs more efficiently, which can lower your monthly energy bills as well.
For a standard 2–3 bedroom home, a thorough professional air duct cleaning typically takes 3 to 4 hours. Larger homes, multi-story properties, or systems with heavy contamination may take longer. Commercial HVAC systems vary widely based on the scale of the ductwork. We always give you a realistic time estimate before we begin. Beware of any company that says they can clean your whole house in under an hour — that is not enough time to do the job properly.
No — when done properly, air duct cleaning should leave your home just as clean as when we arrived. Our technicians use professional-grade HEPA-filtered vacuum systems that operate under negative pressure, meaning all dust and debris is suctioned directly out of your system and contained — not blown around your home. We cover vents and work areas and clean up completely before we leave. You should not see dust floating or settling after a proper cleaning.
Yes, you can stay home during the cleaning. There will be some noise from the equipment, so you may want to stay in a different area of the home while work is being done in certain rooms. We do ask that an adult be present for the duration of the job so our technicians can walk you through what was found, show you the before-and-after results, and answer any questions. We want you to see exactly what we did and why.
Before our technicians arrive, please: clear the area around all vents and registers so we can access them easily; move any furniture that might block vents in closets or tight spaces; make sure we have clear access to your HVAC unit or furnace; and let us know in advance if anyone in the household has severe allergies or respiratory conditions. That's really all you need to do — we take care of everything else.
Major appliance manufacturers and the U.S. Fire Administration recommend having your dryer vent professionally cleaned at least once a year. If you have a large family doing frequent laundry, wash a lot of bulky items like blankets and towels, have an older dryer, or your vent has several bends and turns, you may need cleaning every 6 months. An annual cleaning is the single most effective thing you can do to prevent a dryer fire and keep your appliance running efficiently.
Absolutely — this is not an exaggeration. Dryer vent fires are one of the leading causes of house fires in the United States. An average of 15,000 dryer fires are reported annually, causing more than $110 million in property damage. Lint is highly flammable, and when it builds up inside the vent, it restricts hot air from escaping and can ignite. Cleaning your lint trap after every load is important, but it does not prevent lint from building up inside the vent itself — more than 20% of lint bypasses the trap with every single load.
The most common warning signs include: clothes taking more than one cycle to fully dry; clothes or the dryer itself feeling unusually hot at the end of a cycle; the laundry room becoming warm or humid while the dryer is running; a burning or musty smell during operation; the exterior vent flap not opening properly when the dryer is on; or visible lint buildup around the back of the dryer. If you notice any of these, stop using the dryer and call us — a severely clogged vent is a fire risk.
No — and this is one of the most common misconceptions homeowners have. Cleaning the lint trap is important and should be done after every load, but it only catches a portion of the lint produced. More than 20% of lint bypasses the trap with each use and travels into the vent system itself, where it builds up over time. The lint trap protects your dryer; the vent cleaning protects your home. You need both.
A standard residential dryer vent cleaning typically takes 45 minutes to 1 hour. Longer vents, vents with multiple bends, or vents that exit through the roof rather than a side wall may take a bit longer. Our technicians clean the entire vent system from the dryer connection all the way to the exterior hood, ensuring complete airflow is restored. After cleaning, you should immediately notice your dryer running faster and more efficiently.
At Quality Air Services LLC, our pricing is transparent and straightforward with no hidden fees. Dryer vent cleaning starts at $199.99. Our most popular package — full air duct cleaning, dryer vent cleaning, and motor inspection — is $599.99. Motor cleaning is $224.99 and condenser cleaning is $349.99. UV Air Purifier installation (purifier included) starts at $750 + tax. Commercial jobs and large properties are custom quoted. Be very cautious of companies advertising "$99 whole-house specials" — these so-called "blow-and-go" services use subpar equipment, rush through the job in under an hour, and frequently tack on hidden charges afterward.
Yes — Quality Air Services LLC is fully licensed and insured in New York and New Jersey, and our technicians are NADCA certified. NADCA (National Air Duct Cleaners Association) is the gold standard in our industry. NADCA members must have a certified Air System Cleaning Specialist (ASCS) on staff who has passed a rigorous certification exam covering HVAC design and professional cleaning methodologies. You can request proof of our license and insurance at any time — we're always happy to provide it.
NADCA and the EPA both warn consumers to watch for these red flags: unusually low prices like "$49 whole house" or "$99 specials" — these companies do incomplete work then upsell unnecessary add-ons; technicians who refuse to show you before-and-after results; companies that cannot provide proof of insurance or certification; jobs that are done in under 2 hours for a full home (proper cleaning takes 3–4 hours); and high-pressure sales tactics. A reputable company will always be transparent about their process, pricing, and credentials upfront — just like we are.
